Projetos de extensão, pesquisa e o cuidado renal: insights de estudantes de medicina

This original article aims to analyze the main insights from extension and research projects for the implementation of curricularization, contributing to developing skills and critical thinking for quality care for patients with chronic kidney disease. The hemodialysis service is located in the Jequitinhonha Health Macroregion, where several municipalities in Minas Gerais have a low Human Development Index, and, therefore, the university becomes strategic for integration with society and restructuring of the teaching model. Pharmacotherapeutic care is part of the pedagogical project and can be implemented in the health service. Given this scenario, the results reveal that obtaining better results in care demonstrated a positive impact of the educational and motivational intervention to change habits.
