Voices and bonds:
the podcast as a way to raise awareness of society about the prison system

The present work aims to present the podcast Vozes e Vínculos (Voices and Bonds), one of the cultural products of the Vínculos Project, an extension project of the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas – PUC-Campinas – in partnership with the Department of Inclusion and Social Development of the municipality of Hortolândia, metropolitan region of Campinas/ São Paulo. Understanding university extension as a process of dialogical construction between university and community, the Vínculos Project has been working with relatives of incarcerated individuals, ex-convicts, adolescents undergoing open socio-educational measures, and relatives of adolescents undergoing socio-educational measures, aiming to strengthen the individual and community of the participants, as well as to sensitize the community and society in general in order to deconstruct prejudices about the topic. The podcast "Vozes e Vínculos" is one of these products, created to amplify the voices of the participants who voluntarily shared stories of how their lives have been or are being impacted by the prison or socio-educational system.
