Sustainable development has three major pillars: environmental, social and economic. Together, these pillars have the potential to directly influence people’s well-being and quality of life. Following these principles, the research has the general objective of analyzing the influence of sustainability dimensions, i.e., environmental, social and economic, on individual life satisfaction. To this end, the effects of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) on individual life satisfaction for 127 countries were examined through the construction of multiple regression models. Analysis results revealed both positive and negative valence influences of specific SDGs on life satisfaction. The significant relationships identified in the first regression model served as the basis for the construction of a second model aimed at analyzing the three dimensions of sustainability on satisfaction with life. Indeed, the social and economic dimensions had positive effects on life satisfaction, while the environmental dimension had a negative impact. The results highlight the complexity present in the relationship between sustainability and satisfaction with life, revealing the need to intensify both human and socioeconomic components in the interrelationship between the two themes.
