This article discusses the transformations that have been affecting the world of work, and its future prospects, according to the general law of capitalist accumulation, especially considering the context of the new technological revolution based on the expansion of artificial intelligence and other digital technologies. It also points out the phenomena of Taylorism/Fordism, the crises that followed them, the process of globalization of the economy and the social implications of productive restructuring.
