O ensaio analisa temporalidades do pós-colonial como desafio à temporalidade moderna, movida pelas noções do progresso e linearidade a partir do romance “Uma curva no rio” (2004), de V.S. Naipaul. Mas, apesar das temporalidades mistas e fragmentadas, sociedades pós-coloniais ainda se informam por uma temporalidade moderna, elemento constitutivo do estado.
