O artigo aborda a relação Estado-Igreja existente na sociedade russa. Argumenta-se que a religião não deve ser ignorada ao se analisar as políticas doméstica e externa da Rússia contemporânea. O argumento tem com base revisão bibliográfica sobre o tópico e informações obtidas no website do Department of Church Affairs.
