The book Has China Won? The Chinese Challenge to American Primacy, by Kishore Mahbubani, addressess the growing rivalry between China and the United States, arguing that it is both inevitable and avoidable. Analyzing strategic mistakes from both sides, the book clarifies crucial features for the understanding of China's rise and the American backlash. In addition, it offers explanations on issues poorly understood by the West about the Chinese reality, such as the so-called Chinese expansionism and a possible democratic transition in Mainland China.
