Reports claim under-representation of emerging countries in G20 agenda-setting (BENSON Y ZÜRN, 2019; LEI Y RUI, 2016; PRODI, 2016). This study sought to determine whether the degree of institutionalisation of the G20 is related to the imbalance in the representation of interests in its agenda-setting. Applying a qualitative methodology with a sequential strategy of two data collection and analysis techniques, it is corroborated that emerging countries assume less prominence in agenda-setting.
