A Cúpula de Lideranças Globais sobre o Clima e a criação do momentum político para a COP 26

A Cúpula de Lideranças Globais sobre o Clima ocorreu entre os dias 22 e 23 de abril e foi um dos primeiros eventos de alto nível organizados pelo governo Biden. Os anúncios do evento representam um prelúdio das posições dos principais agentes da governança do clima para a COP 26, que ocorrerá em novembro desse ano em Glasgow. O presente artigo analisa as principais metas apresentadas pelas lideranças e conclui que ainda que tenha havido um aumento significativo da ambição global, a cúpula não aponta para a obtenção de consenso em relação à tópicos ainda controversos nas negociações sobre a implementação do Acordo de Paris.
