Abstract

This teaching case allow us to develop a learning process focused on: (a) understanding the importance of the relationship between entrepreneurship and territory, (b) knowing and discussing the identity experience as a significant territorial perspective to think about entrepreneurship and (c) identifying and discussing how territoriality can be promising in the development of entrepreneurship in the field of arts and culture. The case consists of the experience of a business student who studies cultural entrepreneurship and chooses the Afro Ilê Aiyê Block. Thus, he talks to several strategic people in the organization to understand what makes Ilê Aiyê an innovative organization from the cultural point of view. With each dialogue, we get to know the block's cultural innovations better, especially the relationships between entrepreneurship, culture, experience, identity and territoriality at Ilê Aiyê.
