Cultural fit and humility in organizations contribute to organizational development and performance. Analyzing the cultural alignment of the perception of the organizational leaders and followers, with regard to expressed humble behavior is the main objective of this article. Based on a single case study with a qualitative descriptive approach, the investigation conducted interviews supported by a semi-structured script in an energy trading organization. Results show there are subgroups of different cultures that limit the desired organizational evolution, and an idealistic conception of humble behaviors of leaders, inhibiting the effects that humility can generate on organizational practices. The adoption of humble behavior by leaders tends to reinforce the cultural fit and supports values that are sensitive to the company's culture. Deepening investigations about humble behaviors is a significant opportunity for organizational practices.
