This study investigated the application of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) as an adapted method for prioritizing interventions in a project management methodology, aiming to improve value delivery in future projects. The research, of a qualitative nature, adopted the case study method in an automotive company that implemented its own methodology for the development of strategic projects. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and documentary analysis of projects that used the referred methodology. The results revealed that the assertive identification of stakeholders, the improvement of self-organization and autonomy of project executors can optimize the company's methodology, driving excellence in achieving the organizational strategy. The application of QFD proved to be effective in prioritizing project management practices with greater potential to generate strategic value, resulting in gains in efficiency, collaboration and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
