Objective: To characterize the factors related to process management in hospitals and their impact on nursing care. Method: This is a Scope Review study. The search for evidence took place in five electronic databases: MEDLINE; CINAHL; SCOPUS, BDENF and LILACS. The search for evidence was carried out by exporting the retrieved articles to Rayyan and data were extracted and organized using a spreadsheet and after analyzing the evidence. Results: The results made it possible to associate process management with the time spent in the work process and in the documentation of bureaucratic care processes such as SAE, shift change, information systems and technologies, models and protocols for service flows, for example Surgical Center and Urgency and Emergency, acquisition of materials, negotiation with operators, costs, reduction of lead times, among others. Conclusion: This study demonstrated the scarcity of research, mainly national, about GP and nursing care, which is an extremely relevant and present factor in health services.
