Abstract

Social entrepreneurship is an area of ​​analysis and intervention in political and scientific terms and has attracted the attention of researchers due to its current and complexity, a reflection of social interactions. Thus, the objective of the work is to map the scientific production on social entrepreneurship (ES). For this, bibliometric techniques were used and the data were systematized with the help of VOSviewer and Bibliometrix software. The period of analysis covers the years from 1991 to 2022 and the scientific basis was the Web of Science. The results showed that the most cited works address issues related to the comparison between traditional entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship; definition of social entrepreneurship as a process of social change; typology of social entrepreneurs; review of social entrepreneurship and opportunities for the future. The most cited journals are: Sustainability, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Social Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise Journal, Entrepreneurship. The countries that concentrate the greatest scientific production are respectively: USA, United Kingdom, China, Spain and Germany. The main contribution will be the literature review of other research, helping to understand "Social Entrepreneurship".
