Abstract

This article focuses on peacekeeping operations that happened with Italy’s help since the beginning of its participation in these kinds of operations. This research was done in order to analyze the format of these operations and how they are chosen by the Italian government focusing on the factors that influence this decision-making process, as well as which countries receive it. The intention is to understand what motivates Italy to participate in United Nations peacekeeping operations, and whether it is only through this organization that the country conducts this kind of operations.
