Abstract

The present work aims to identify within the scope of municipal and state education, in the hinterland of Bahia, guidelines for Elementary School - Final Years - curricular contents that address the history and culture of the municipality, that aimed at knowledge of local history. Methodologically, it is a qualitative research based on the analysis of documents from Brazilian education at the national level and in the municipality of Sento-Sé. Empirical data were collected through semi-structured interviews with five teachers who work in municipal education. To carry out the empirical research, a project was submitted to the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) of the University of Pernambuco, pursuant to Resolution 466/12 of the National Health Council. The documentary and empirical data were analyzed in dialogue with the pertinent literature to the topic. The results of the study showed timid references from the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC) to school autonomy with regard to the inclusion of themes linked to the local reality. As for the Political-Pedagogical Proposal of the Municipal Schools of Sento-Sé (PPPEMSS) it is in the process of reformulation for restructuring in accordance with current national regulations.

Mestre em Educação pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Formação de Professores e Práticas Interdisciplinares (PPGFPPI), Universidade de Pernambuco (UPE). Atualmente é professora da Educação Básica, tem experiência no ensino de História com ênfase em Identidade e memória.
