The Rings of Power represent the desire to control and preserve the world, with profound impacts on the lives of the characters. Furthermore, death is interpreted as part of a natural cycle of renewal and reconstruction. These core themes reveal the complexity of Tolkien's cosmology, where death is not the end but rather the beginning of something new.
