Abstract
RESUMO
O objetivo deste trabalho é realizar uma reflexão bioética do estágio atual do manuseio, do congelamento e cuidados com o embrião humano à luz dos ensinamentos da instrução Dignitas Personae. O Magistério da Igreja já interveio outras vezes para esclarecer e resolver os problemas morais relativos a essa matéria. Estas razões levaram a Congregação para a Doutrina da Fé a elaborar em 2008 uma nova Instrução de natureza doutrinal a Dignitas personae, que enfrenta algumas problemáticas recentes à luz dos critérios enunciados na Instrução Donum vitae e reexamina outros temas já tratados. O embrião como vida deve ser preservado e cuidado à luz da ciência e da religião.

ABSTRACT
The objective of this study is to conduct a bioethical reflection of the current stage of handling, freezing and care of the human embryo in the light of the teachings of Dignitas Personae statement. The Magisterium of the Church has sometimes intervened to clarify and solve the moral problems relating to this subject. These have led the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in 2008 to develop a new doctrinal Instruction Dignitas personae, which addresses some recent questions in the light of the criteria set out in the Instruction Donum vitae and examines some issues already treated. The embryo as life should be preserved and carefully in the light of science and religion.
