Abstract

The teacher is seen as a person capable of marking people's lives and whose knowledge is related to their professional identity. A model figure during the cognitive process contributes to the choice of one's profession and, therefore, is not built by an accumulation of courses or knowledge, but through a process of critical reflection of their personal identity. The purpose of this paper was to describe and analyze the academic trajectory of a university professor up to her professional commencement, in order to verify aspects of her path with important meanings for the development of teachers. This study was key because it allowed the recovery of the professional trajectory memories in an investigative sense of the teaching profession.
