Abstract

The present work belongs to the thematic axis that involves technology and education, in which assistive technology, its products, resources, methods, strategies, practices and services will be addressed, which promote the autonomy, independence, quality of life and social inclusion of people with disabilities, whether in the community, at school or at work. When we work with people with special needs, it is necessary to develop a job that meets the existing diversity in this context. For that, we need to work using methodologies, techniques and tools that compensate for deficits and needs (CONFORTO et al., 2010). Information and communication technologies are part of an important category of tools, and, associated with an appropriate methodology, they can become important allies in the inclusion process. Digital technologies, especially communication and information tools, enhance the multisensory understanding of reality and establish new interfaces for teaching and learning, differing from those that traditionally structured the educational process (CONFORTO et al., 2010).
