Abstract

The proposal of Restorative Justice in education started from a need to contemplate a more humanized and effective treatment of the conflicts that occurred in the school environment, adding to the strategies already accomplished and/or improving them. The idea can be translated, in its general features, into preventive, educational, aid and information actions that aim at social pacification through the insertion and identification of the student with the school community of which he is a member, thus aiming at strengthening social and affective bonds. The first results observed in the project "Our School, Our Solutions", developed at the Dom Bosco Municipal School, in Belo Horizonte/MG, since the beginning of 2019, point to the strengthening of this support network through which students, parents, guardians, teachers and employees identify and trust each other with their demands, choosing dialogue and collective construction as a privileged way of seeking solutions to the problems experienced. With a methodology based on activities that seek to strengthen values that contribute to a loyal and respectful coexistence, the school community is introduced into a serious and committed legal education, which solidly combines the exercise of the rights to fulfill the corresponding duties, calling everyone to welcome and responsibility.
