THE IMPORTANCE OF TEACHERS ENHANCED BY COVID-19
Abstract
Due to the high rate of contamination, on February 3, 2020, Covid-19 started to be treated as a public health emergency. Thus, educational methods have acquired new contours, given that traditional teaching has been replaced by virtual teaching or teleworking. The objective of this research is to highlight the importance of teacher representation in relation to their current work in the Covid-19 scenario. For this, an interview was conducted with a female educator, with extensive experience in education, who is working professionally during the pandemic. We concluded that the educational scenario may not be the most appropriate, however, with the commitment of teachers, dedication, concern with teaching and learning, with creativity and facing the challenges related to low investment, teachers demonstrated that they are indispensable in education, while point that the whole functioning of the current form of school depends on the commitment and professionalism of the teacher.
