Abstract

In the globalized world, new challenges to social practices arise. It is easy to perceive digital social networks changing not only people's daily lives, but their behavior in face of the new possibilities that the network offers. With the arrival of new devices brought by digital technologies, a new reader is born, with a new reading behavior. It is understood, therefore, that the evolution of digital technologies causes changes in the modes of reading and writing, strengthening teaching, especially about regard to media. Faced with this complex reality, some initiatives appear, among them the use of social networks for educational purposes. This paper discusses reading issues in the digital age, with a focus on teaching and learning, and aims to contribute to the construction of a new educational paradigm of the media, with ideals that lead to the adoption of innovative pedagogical practices. Thus, this article aims to highlight the transformations brought about by the advancement of technologies in the way of reading and writing in modern society through online presence.
