Abstract

The present work aims to present the theme of clowning as a methodological resource to be used by the teacher in the classroom in regular education. The starting point for this study were the conclusions of our Supervised Internship in Early Childhood Education report, where we had the opportunity to apply the clown methodology in the classroom and we propose to continue and deepen the practice. For this, we tried to carry out a literature review of the theme in order to better understand some of the elements that guide clowning practice at school in regular education and to characterize the clown profile from laughter, clown initiation and play, which as will be shown, must configure the practice of the clown teacher in the classroom. From the data obtained and based on the content reported in the internship, we seek to demonstrate how, in fact, clowning is an excellent methodological alternative for the teacher to deal with the daily challenge of the classroom.
