Abstract

This article aims to analyze the possibilities and challenges faced by schools when adopting digital technologies, and blended learning in their classes and in special education. The global crisis of the new coronavirus pandemic resulted in the closing of schools and with that, the faculty felt the need to start reflecting on a new way of seeing the teaching-learning process. To try to minimize the adversities of the teaching-learning process of students and teachers of basic education and especially during the pandemic, new pedagogical practices adopted. Considering that students who have some type of disability found it more difficult to adapt to the new educational context, it is necessary to reflect on the implementation and use of assistive technology for the development of inclusive methodologies, which will further enrich the pedagogical practice. It is worth mentioning that it is important that the new methodologies introduced in teaching are well planned by the school, as it is essential that the teacher master these new methods, so that the pedagogical practice does not become simplistic. For the elaboration of this article, bibliographic research was conducted, based on the theoretical framework of Freire (1999); Braghirolli (2002); Moreira (2020); Berbel (2011); and Silva, Hoffmann, and Esteban (2010), presenting practical solutions that aim to reduce the impacts that the pandemic has brought to the educational system.
