Abstract

This essay proposes to understand the concept of quality in education at the interfaces established with school culture. This is justified as an object of study due to the predominance of the technicist conception of teaching that imposes itself in the school field in a certain conception of quality in education, but that alienates and precarizes the training processes when subordinating the subjects to the teaching instruments. The method used has as its proposition the Philosophy of Education, to analyze school culture as an element common to all in which the transmission of the concept prevails as an organizing point of the dynamics of functioning of the school unit. It is concluded as a result obtained in this essay that quality in education will not be achieved as long as the sharing of what is common to all in the field of school culture does not present itself as a central focus in terms of educational policy proposition.
