Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a disorder that affects the neurodevelopment of individuals, making communication and social interaction difficult, thereby manifesting as a noticeable disability. This research aims to analyze the historical trajectory of inclusive public policies in Brazil, identify inclusive public policies in the state of Pará that encourage the presence of children with autism in regular schools, and briefly examine how these policies are integrated into the daily routine of education professionals when it comes to including autistic children in regular schools. This research work is characterized by a bibliographic study, and within the context, there is a lack of proposals and a low supply of resources specifically targeted towards meeting the needs of children with autism in early childhood education in regular schools.
