CONJUGALITY IN FRICTION: POSSIBLE REASONS IN LIQUIDMODERNITY

Abstract

The present work consists of a descriptive exploratory qualitative research that deals with the theme of conjugality in friction and its possible motives, in the denominated liquid modernity. The objective is to discuss and analyze the conflicts present in heterosexual marital relationships, in a situation of marriage and / or stable union, with joint housing through tacit agreement, verbal, registered in a notary and / or religious celebration. For this purpose, the following specific objectives were stipulated: a) to identify and discuss possible patterns prevalent in contemporary marital relations; b) identify the possible transformations that occurred in the conjugal models in contemporary Brazilian society; c) discussing and analyzing conjugal relationships in contemporary times, especially with regard to the many conflicts present in such relationships, and d) knowing what has been discussed in different fields of knowledge about conjugal relationships in the contemporary. Thus, in a multidisciplinary perspective, the contribution of several authors, notably Bauman, Rollo May, Rogers and Stevens, Perls, Polster, Hycner, among others. A field survey was conducted, through interviews with five professionals who work in the clinic in care of couples, as well as documentary research in public records. The analysis was therefore by triangulation of methods. It can be verified that, although several hegemonic social values coexist, the conjugal relationship does not currently have a prevalent or fixed pattern to establish. It is also perceived that, in view of the many changes that are registered in the different cultures, not only the Brazilian, the relationship of conjugality maintains some traits of patriarchy (based on the presence of father, mother, children and hierarchy) being built and re-edited in an "inventive" way in society. The research also pointed out that there are multiple sources of conflicts, but in many cases they are established and are associated with issues of communication between the parties.
