Abstract

Neste artigo, analiso criticamente citações de autores gerativistas que sustentam que a evolução da linguagem ocorre de acordo com mecanismos internos e inerentes a ela. Sustento também que a leitura au­tononomista do gerativismo tem origem em um projeto formalista que lega mais valor à sistematicidade do modelo matemático expla­natório do que à própria realidade.
