About the Journal
VIRTUAJUS - Journal of Law published every six months belonging to the College of Law of the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas).
PRESENTATION
The VirtuaJus Journal of the Faculdade Mineira de Direito (Law School) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, Brazil, published biannually since 2016, is classified as B1 in QUALIS (Sucupira Platform/CAPES - Brazil) and its goal is to divulge academic articles from Law and related areas that can contribute to the improvement of interdisciplinary reflection on a critical basis.
MISSION
VirtuaJus aims to analyze and discuss various aspects of legal issues, in dialogue with the transversal themes that permeate the Law, always based on interdisciplinary interlocution and receptive to alternative axiologies.
It is aimed at the readership in general, through the diffusion of national and international articles, original research, student and teacher articles, reviews, interviews and translations.
GENERAL PUBLICATION RULES
Criteria for Article Selection
For publication, the following will be evaluated: the originality, the relevance of the article to the theme proposed by the editorial committee, the quality of the scientific methodology used, as well as the adequacy to the editorial standards adopted by the journal. All texts will be submitted to technical review. The content and the accuracy of the citations will be the sole responsibility of the authors.
Types of Accepted Work
The Journal will accept unpublished articles in the following languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. The texts must correspond to the following categories:
- articles, comprising theoretical studies with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 pages (approximately between 30,000 and 50,000 characters with spaces);
- reviews of national or foreign publications, bibliographic reviews, as well as theses and dissertations. Book reviews must comply with the theoretical purpose of the Journal, and have a maximum size of 5 pages (approximately 15,000 characters with spaces). Reviews must refer to recent works with a maximum of 2 years of publication. In the case of books published in a foreign language, this time may be reassessed by the editors, depending on their translations.

In order to submit articles, it is necessary for each author to register on the PUC Minas journal platform and submit online.

The publication of articles in the Virtuajus journal is always free, with no cost to its authors.
