REFLECTIONS AND POSSIBILITIES OF SUBVERSIONS TO THE CISHETERONORMATIVE MATRIX OF THE MODERN / COLONIAL GENDER SYSTEM

The present work has as its object of analysis the hypothesis that queer theories, especially the one proposed by Judith Butler, have the potential to be used as an epistemic disobedience in the face of a colonial / modern cis-heteronormative matrix, explaining, denouncing and subverting the binary logic the coloniality of sex-differences and gender in the face of the processes of modern cover-up violence that began in 1492, continued and institutionalized after the industrialization processes of the 18th century. The objective is to present the core of queer theories and work on tensions with the radical thinking of Walter Mignolo. It is maintained that epistemic disobedience does not lead to an exclusivity in the way of analyzing power, knowledge and being from the Global South, ignoring the thought of what is produced in the North. What is proposed is to bring the perspective of coexistence to epistemological plurality in order to discover and recognize new subjects and new rights to them. To this end, we intend to analyze the tensions between the post-structuralist current and radical decolonial thinking without, however, pretending any homogenization of dissent. It is intended to end the reflections by emphasizing the potential of queer theories to expose and subvert the compulsively modern / colonial heterosexual epistemology in the logic of insurgency supported by epistemic disobedience in the bias of epistemological coexistence and pluralism.
