The essay reflects on the modern constructions around the word humanism, and how the rationality built from the construction of the current colonial world system at different times excludes expressive portions of the population covered by names invented as Indians and Negers. Building a critique of modernity, the text seeks to identify the movements to overcome the forms of modern exclusion, bringing a critical reflection from a decolonial perspective, also analyzing Pope Francisco' important initiative in establishing a dialogue with these new perspectives in the realization of Synod of the Amazon and the construction of the concept of a humanism integrated with nature.
