The article aims to analyze aspects of Paul Ricoeur's work in its insertion in the so-called hermeneutic circle, especially due to the issue of symbols, finitude and culpability, among
other philosophical and ethical principles. In his works, themes such as the plurivocity of symbols and their conflicting interpretive possibility are evident, always from an ontological and critical perspective in conection with psychoanalysis, linguistics and semiology, highlighting the dialogical depth of his thought.
