Abstract

In the last decades of the XX century, the debates in political philosophy were influenced by the emergence of a neo-aristotelianism that renewed the discussion by
offering new perspectives not contemplated by the liberal dogmas. But if Aristotle became important for contemporary research, the same cannot be said of Plato, whose
ideas seem distant from us. However, we can find, in the work of John Milbank, an attempt to assimilate Platonic assumptions into the recent political thought. In this
article, we analyze these assumptions, as they appear in some of his articles, in order to assess to what extent, nowadays, a political Platonism is still possible.
