This paper intends to answer how necropolitics interconnects with the reality of social damage caused by states, markets and large corporations, especially as a method of analysis for green criminological studies. For that, we used deductive methodology with a theoretical framework in Green Criminology, from a perspective on the crimes of the powerful and the theory of social damage. The objective is to identify the entanglements between necropolitics and green criminological studies, regarding environmental damage and the processes of environmental victimization caused by powerful agents, in the neoliberal global capitalist context. It concludes that the production of social damages is directly interconnected with the exercise of a death policy, where powerful actors undertake damage justification and denial techniques that are supported by neoliberal rationality, so that indifference and public acceptance about the death and exclusion of non-white populations become essential for maintaining the power and privilege of the powerful. Green criminology must be aware of this reality, above all, through an epistemological approach to necropolitics and its conceptual framework.
