“DÓXA” E “SER” NO LIVRO V DE A REPÚBLICA:
uma perspectiva antagônica da doutrina dualista de Platão

O dualismo metafísico em Platão é uma característica fundamental que molda a interpretação de sua filosofia como uma dicotomia entre os mundos sensível e inteligível. A separação radical entre essas realidades é questionada, propondo-se uma perspectiva não-dual. A análise dos termos “opinião” (do&ca) e “ser” (ei]nai) no livro V de A República revela que a “opinião” funciona como um intermediário entre a ignorância e a ciência, enquanto o verbo “ser” abrange um caráter veritativo e existencial, conectando as realidades. Ao enfatizar a inter-relação entre o sensível e o inteligível, a compreensão da metafísica platônica torna-se mais integrada, desafiando visões dicotômicas.
