La apropiación beauvoiriana de los principios ilustrados en El Segundo Sexo: un recorrido crítico
Abstract
El presente trabajo estudia críticamente la apropiación beauvoiriana de los principios ilustrados de igualdad y universalidad del género humano en El Segundo Sexo (Beauvoir, 1949). En primer lugar, situamos la obra en su contexto de surgimiento: los movimientos sufragistas de mujeres, explicitando sus fundamentos filosóficos. En segundo término, ponemos en evidencia la fase crítica-negativa de los principios ilustrados mencionados en relación con problema del androcentrismo. Por último, evaluamos su fase positiva-propositiva en el marco del programa beauvoiriano de liberación femenina.
This paper critically examines Beauvoir´s appropriation of the enlightenment principles of equality and universality of the humans in The Second Sex (Beauvoir, 1949). First, we place the work in its context of emergence: the women's suffrage movement, explaining its philosophical foundations. Second, we demonstrate the critical-negative phase of the mentioned principles in relation with the androcentrism problem. Finally, we evaluate its proactive-positive phase in the framework of women's liberation.
