Hermenêutica, interpretação e distância

Abstract

Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar algumas linhas da hermenêutica de Paul Ricoeur, a partir da análise de um excerto de seu artigo “A função hermenêutica do distanciamento”. Frequentemente, o conceito de distanciamento foi apresentado por estudiosos da hermenêutica de maneira paradoxal, quando não negativa: por um lado, ele se mostra necessário à cientificidade da leitura do texto; por outro, parece arruinar nossa relação primordial de pertença ao mundo. Ricoeur tentará superar este paradoxo introduzindo a categoria de “mundo do texto”, onde o distanciamento será apresentado não como uma opção metodológica intrusiva, mas como elemento essencial da compreensão da proposta de mundo presente no texto e da compreensão de si.

This paper aims to show some outlines of Ricoeur’s hermeneutics, from the analysis of an excerpt of his article “The hermeneutical function of the distanciation”. Often the distanciation concept was presented by hermeneutics scholars paradoxally, even negatively: on the one hand, the distanciation is necessary to the scientific text lecture; in the other hand, it seems to break our primordial relationship of belonging to the world. Ricoeur will try to overcome this paradox by introducing the “text’s world” category, where the distanciation will be presented not as an intrusive methodological option, but as an essential element of the comprehension of world’s proposal in the text, as well as the self comprehension.
