In this paper, we seek to reflect on the perception of subjects – teachers and students – in relation to teaching based on the Study Plan, from the perspective of the Pedagogy of Alternation, focusing on the curricular component of Chemistry. In methodological aspects, the research data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, direct observation and document analysis. The locus of the research was the Escola Família Agrícola (EFA) Bontempo, located in the Córrego do Brejo community, rural area of the municipality of Itaobim-MG. The study participants are three teachers who work at the EFA and also five students, from the 1st to the 3rd series of Integrated High School. After the interviews, the full transcriptions were made and we used Content Analysis (Bardin). As a result of the analyses, we consider that the teachers' perceptions are closer to the principles of the Study Plan – questioning, transformation of ideas through dialogue and praxis. However, the students, in their responses to the interviews, show little knowledge of these principles, which are implemented in the school studied through the Three Pedagogical Moments. Therefore, we believe that it is important for the teaching-learning process of the students that they have clarity not only conceptually, but mainly practically, of the proposal they experience.
