In this work we share bibliographic research with general objective of analyze educational practices in the field, from the perspective of dialectical historical materialism. To this end, the following specific objectives were outlined: 1) Understand dialectical historical materialism, its foundations and implications for rural education; 2) Knowing the relationship between educational practices in the countryside and the class struggle in capitalist society; and 3) Highlight educational practices in the field in the context of the reproduction of social relations of production. Methodologically, this study was a Bibliographic Research, with a qualitative focus. The analysis carried out shows that it is essential to highlight that the adoption of dialectical historical materialism does not imply a deterministic view of reality. On the contrary, he starts from the premise that reality is socially constructed and, therefore, subject to transformation. By adopting this framework, it is possible to understand rural education as a space of possibilities, in which contradictions and social struggles can be faced and transformed, aiming at building a more just and egalitarian society.
