This article aims to analyze Youth and Adult Education (EJA), in the peasant territory of the municipality of Duque de Caxias, during the period (2013-2023), addressing the historical aspects and statistical data that corroborate the raising of hypotheses on the subject, as well as on the care of the young and adult population, from the age of 15 who for some reason did not have the opportunity to school, in High School, at the age considered appropriate, and who currently resides in the rural territory. EJA has many similarities with peasant education, since the difficulties faced to guarantee the learning rights to a public considered marginalized since its conception.To address EJA in a rural area in the city of Duque de Caxias, a municipality in the state of Rio de Janeiro, part of the Metropolitan Region, considered as Baixada Fluminense, is to bring to the discussion its process of urbanization, and disorderly growth, as well as to present to the reader the conception of education available, as well as to reaffirm the need to guarantee access and permanence to teaching structures.
