This study aims to understand the responsive and interdiscursive processes that support the journalistic discourse in the opinion article of the philosopher Djamila Ribeiro, published in Folha de S. Paulo. For this purpose, the object of analysis are the discursive strategies that support the anti-racist speeches, thematized in the analyzed article and how they are represented in the text “O enfrentamento ao racismo precisa ser mais do que posts para aliviar a consciência”. We intend to understand the production of meaning in the face of the analyzed text and the discursive strategies mentioned. For this, we adopted the Bakhtin Circle as a theoretical basis for the purpose of the study, based on an articulation with other authors (POSSENTI, 2003; AUTHIERREVUZ, 2004; ORLANDI, 2012a, 2012b; AZEVEDO, 2014) who discuss language in its various manifestations in social and discursive practices. A proposed analysis is of an interpretative nature, and as procedures, we use a Linguistic analysis of discursive manifestations that make up the corpus in question. We conclude the article with the expectation of contributing to new debates that aim to focus on the issue of racism in society.
