Abstract

Interview conducted with Eugênio Eustáquio dos Santos, curator of Casa Chico Xavier, president of Aliança Municipal Espírita de Pedro Leopoldo e Matozinho, and director of Centro Espírita Meimei, located in Minas Gerais. The approach is directed to one of the aspects of the Christian Spiritist Doctrine, obsession, considering the interviewee's vast experience with the keynote. The problem, possibly of spiritual origin, can affect the obsessed person's, family, and social condition, and is sometimes mistakenly considered to be a mental health disorder for the patient. The purpose of the survey is to help advance the understanding of the theme that is notably recurrent and incident in the Brazilian population, although it is neglected and little explored. The questions were answered in September 2020, in an online survey platform.
