Abstract

This article aimed to identify actions in the Family Health Strategies (FHS)
to face violence against women. An integrative review of articles published
between 2011 and 2016 was carried out in the following databases: Latin
American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (Lilacs), Nursing
Database (Bdenf), Index Psychology - Technical-Scientific Periodicals and
Network Pan American Institute of Information and Documentation in Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Sciences (Repidisca). Thirteen
(13) out of the twenty-nine (29) articles we studied were selected for analysis
according to the categories: “network with women in situation of violence”
and “limits and professional needs to face gender violence”. The review
shows failures in the training of health professionals for the diagnosis and
intervention in cases of gender violence, and lack of connection between the
social protection network and the family health teams in the care of women
victims of violence.
