Aquisição do tipo silábico CV(r) no português brasileiro

Os Modelos baseados no Uso e na Lingüística Probabilística sugerem que a freqüência em que palavras individuais ou grupos de palavras são usados, e a freqüência em que padrões estruturais ocorrem numa língua afetam a representação mental. Os modelos também propõem que as palavras no léxico estão organizadas de forma multidimensional em função de similaridades fonéticas e semânticas, e que a representação fonológica contém não só os traços distintivos, mas também os previsíveis e redundantes. Assim, a variação é considerada intrínseca à gramática e à representação. Este artigo refere-se à aquisição da estrutura silábica variável CV(r) em crianças de 2;6 a 5;0, do Rio de Janeiro. A análise mostra que a distribuição das freqüências das variantes é um reflexo da variação estruturada, observada na comunidade de fala, e do estabelecimento de diferentes esquemas representacionais em função da classe morfológica e da posição da sílaba na palavra.
