Abstract

Este artigo visa a identificar em obras da literatura universal - Ilíada, Odisséia e Os lusíadas - nas quais o tema da viagem está ligado ao domínio do colonizador - uma espécie de mapeamento etnográfico e político. Por outro lado, intenta mostrar que obras da literatura brasileira - O navio negreiro,  Macunaíma,  Serafim Ponte Grande  e Terras do sem fim - apresentam uma alteração cartográfica no processo de apreensão do Brasil, uma vez que elas não almejam construir identida­des essencialistas e permanentes/estáveis.
