This paper proposes an approach to the construction of poetic images related to the moment in poems by Lenilde Freitas. This composition is based on a focus on nature, an element that runs through much of the author's texts. Therefore, in the first part, the poet will be introduced, along with her literary journey, as well as some initial notions about the representation of transience through poetic language. Subsequently, the discussions will be centered on the theoretical approach to the formation of the image in poetry, nature, and the moment, categories further explored in the analytical reading. To do this, we will mainly refer to the studies of Paz (1982), Cunha (2000), Bosi (2000), Candido (2000), and Bachelard (1994). The insights of these authors will be crucial to understanding the imagistic configurations of the moment through perceptions stemming from nature in Lenilde Freitas' poems, as discussed in the penultimate section. Finally, it can be affirmed that the poet's productions are filled with aesthetic value and a wealth of lyrical images that, in the specific case of the elaboration of the poetic moment, allow the reader an experience of redefining time, its relationship with nature, and everyday life.
