Explicitação ou implicatura? Um exemplo de comunicação intercultural

Defende a hipótese de que o domínio principal das investigações sobre a pragmática das línguas naturais constitui-se de explicitações. Esta hipótese opõe-se a teses defendidas na pragmática, que diz que o interesse da comunicação inferencial é justamente a possibilidade para o locutor de comunicar implicitamente sua intenção informativa, ou ainda se o locutor não diz explicitamente aquilo que quer dizer, é porque ele pode ter boas ou más razões para não querer dizê-lo.
