Narrativa e vida cotidiana

Dentre os interesses comuns aos estudos da linguagem e de literatura, a narrativa ocupa indubitavelmente um lugar de destaque. Neste trabalho, apresento alguns aspectos tradicionalmente discutidos em análises sociolingüísticas da narrativa, tais como as noções de reportabilidade, avaliação e ponto. Além disso, discuto a emergência da narrativa nas interações espontâneas, focalizando o que significa contá-las, ou o que estamos fazendo ao contá-las. Uma das questões centrais nessa discussão diz respeito a como se relacionam experiência e relato e a como, nesse relato, estamos construindo o sentido de quem somos. Ao integrar discurso e cultura na interpretação da vida social, o estudo de narrativas de pessoas comuns, em interações cotidianas, pode ser esclarecedor para compreender tanto a ordem social que nos cerca, quanto as possibilidades de sua transformação.
