This article aims to understand the concept of praxis in the light of the conceptions of Paulo Reglus Neves Freire and Adolfo Sánchez Vázquez, in order to identify conceptual approaches between the authors and their implications for pedagogical action. The methodological path chosen was bibliographical research supported by the studies of the aforementioned authors and from other authors who also work on praxis in its different forms, with the premise of understanding the concept and context of praxis and its implications in the teaching and learning process. At the end of the study, it was found that the possible conceptual dialogues between Freire and Sánchez Vázquez regarding the category of praxis are extremely relevant to the educational field, especially to the training process of subjects, since both perspectives have human action and emancipation as locus of their theories, thus denoting possible paths towards a humanizing education and guided by pedagogical practices as inseparable units of theory and practice, by the different dimensions of praxis, and enabling a pedagogical action committed to transformative and revolutionary human praxis.
